Older Car Drivers
It is staggering the amount of older drivers on our roads today. In most cases older drivers get a raw deal from other motorists on our roads. There are on the other hand a lot of older drivers out there who have never had any further training since passing their driving test many years ago and who struggle with the aggressive driving style of other motorists.
Solo(uk) has developed a driving program specifically aimed at the older driver. We now offer a 2 hour assessment and training course to older drivers who wish to refresh their skills and become safer on our roads.
You may have also been recommended by your Doctor to take a driving assessment before he signs you as being medically fit. That's where we can help!
The course consists of a drive assessment with one of our Driving Instructors in your own vehicle then training in the areas that require attention. You will be given a full written report at the end of the course with the recommendations we have made to improve your driving style.
The cost of the 2 hour course is only £30 (That's only £15 per hour).

Become A Driving Instructor Being a Driving Instructor is a very rewarding career. You work the hours you want to work. Be careful of those organisations who tell you that you will earn in excess of £30k per year. Realistic earnings are around £20k to £25k per year. Our Training is given only on a one to one basis with a Driving Standards Agency ORDIT Registered Trainer. We don't car share. |

Pass Plus Courses Pass Plus is a driving course that you can take after you have passed your driving test. It must be taken within the first year after passing but is then valid for 2 years. The pass plus course can reduce your first insurance premium by as much as 30%. |
